Pain hurts
Like being stabbed in the stomach
Like being swallowed by the darkness

Forgiveness hurts
Like watching something fade away
Like peaking from the darkness when you aren't ready

Love hurts
Like being torn in two
Like plummeting into a pool of darkness

Apologies hurt
Like snapping an arm back in place
Like being filled with darkness

Happiness hurts
Like being stretched too much
Like darkness watching when it shouldn't

Sharing hurts
Like something being torn from your grasp
Like a crack of darkness in the light.

Pain hurts
Like your heart beating on the ground
Like never seeing the light through the pit of darkness.
